Play Frame Design Process

The first stage of the design process is to arrange a site meeting to ascertain several aspects of the new venture. We would wish to take into consideration the overall size and structure of the unit to allow for the best possible design to be implemented into the available space.

Also theme, colour schemes, layouts, requirements and budgets would also be discussed to get a general sense of the overall scale of the project.

Sizes and dimensions would then be meticulously checked to pass onto our team of designers waiting to take over the design process and input dimensions into our CAD systems.

Computer Aided Design (CAD) Process

Computer Aided Design

We design every level of the structure based on the design requirements set at the initial meeting and the building dimensions recorded. Using this approach we can design the most exciting structure possible within the given budget and available space. A full set of these CAD drawings are handed to the client at the presentation stage.

The CAD drawings indicate level by level exactly where the play equipment will be positioned along with access and egress points, emergency exits, viewing areas, walkways, and power points required. All this information is given to scale (1:50) and can be given to the other trades on site to help with the construction process.

Computer Aided Design (3D Modeling) Process

3D CAD

Once the 2 dimensional CAD plans are completed, they are handed over to our 3D computer artist. From these plans it is possible to transform a 2D layout into a fully interactive 3D computer model. This again will be presented to the customer to allow them to see for themselves exactly how the concept will look when completed. Using the model it is possible to travel 360 degrees around the design and take a "walkthrough" to give a complete image of the new venture. This not only applies to the main Play Frame, but also the 2-5's area and Soft Play area.

As PH Leisure do not believe that the customer should have to pay for a design, that's why all the above design services are provided FREE of charge to the client. From the initial site inspection to the presentation of the final drawing and computer models, no charge will be made.
